How is this unpopular? 😂 It’s objectively correct. Taekwondo has the biggest variety of kicks and it’s literally an art based off kicks alone.

As someone who has trained tkd as well as MT and boxing taekwondo athletes may be the most agile (or at least equal to boxers) but the tkd sparring training does not directly translate to other striking rule sets very well however tkd kicks are a great supplement to every arsenal

people dont understand that most tkd studios (mine included) actually does teach actual self defense and sparring techniques and doesn’t only focus on “flashy” kicks and/or spinning kicks

I dont think people understand that most martial arts are good if the fighter knows how to properly utilize what they're taught. Not one martial art has "stronger" kicks, it all depends on how you execute the kicks themselves.

Tkd that the public practices is more of a sport but the South Korean special forces practice tkd as their official fighting style. It’s a martial art that’s made for battle. It’s most effective when fighting multiple opponents at once.
