@thebeccabriggs: Warning: You just might unlock your next obsession But in all seriousness, we often don't realize how stuck or complacent we've become until we actually take that first step outside of our comfort zone. And once that step is taken, honey there's no going back! My BTS: I had this poi hanging by my front door for MONTHS, since a friend loaned them to me. I was intrigued by them, but every time I would see them I would talk myself out of it. "I need to be taught how to use them first." "What if I suck?" "I'm a little scared to try it, it's too unfamiliar..." Until one day I just said, "fuck it, I'm just going to go move and play and see what happens"... next thing you know it's been a month and I've bought my own set of led poi, I'm watching tutorials every day, doing drills as often as I'm able, organizing flow meetups, and having more fun than I have in a long while. While I know I still have so much to learn, it's been so good for my mind, body, and soul to explore this new venture. And honestly, I think it's helped give me a lot of confidence in other areas of my life - like finally quitting my job that was sucking my soul out, setting some much-needed boundaries with people, letting go of things I had been holding on too tightly to, reprioritizing my health, allowing myself to show up more vulnerably, making necessary changes to show up better in my coaching business, and probably so much more I haven't even realized yet.
