The argument here isn’t that men don’t rewatch their favorite things; they do, and don’t appreciate when they’re distracted! But it’s only women that I’ve seen who will rerun shows in the background of their lives while they perform other tasks.

what about movies, I know several dudes that frequently rewatch, Marvel, Star wars and Lord of the Rings. I know another guy who it seems like he exclusively watches the various star Trek series on loop. I think a lot of anime heads also rewatch series regularly

I don't think that you have male friends. Not being rude... but as someone who doesn't like rewatching shows or movies and rarely rereads books... I am seen as weird in that by my *male* peers.

There's literally thousands of emotional NBA/NFL edits of players who retired years ago that would suggest your theory is not correct. Men also want comfort and familiarity, they just crave it in a form that society deems masculine and acceptable

No way your gender can quote the entirety of a movie, line for line, after viewing it only one time. You watch a movie so many times you know the whole thing by heart. Guys do it with movies gals do it more with TV shows. it’s the same thing.

That’s crazy cause I’ve only seen men do this. Apparently it’s tied to people with anxiety feel better watching something and knowing what is coming.

I think you are wrong. I rewatch the Matrix series, the John Wick Series, Star Wars series, the Star Trek Series, and much to my wife’s horror, Jupiter Rising. My wife doesn’t do this at all to my knowledge and thinks I’m crazy- she may be right.
