i feel like complimenting someone’s makeup when they’re wearing like a natural look is weird just say u think they’re pretty. if they’re doing liek a super glittery eye look or something obvious then yeah ofc compliment their makeup, but like if they’re wearing foundation and u compliment that it’s just odd bc what is there to compliment… the fact their natural like blemishes or wtv are covered? prolly wld make someone more insecure

I purposely try to be kinda vague with compliments sometimes. Like even if I know it's a wig, I'll say "I like your hair!" so they dont think Im trying to like subtly diss them or something for wearing wigs. Maybe its like that? Like maybe she THOUGHT she was giving "no makeup natural queen" and then you directly complimented her makeup so she denied that it was makeup, idk🤷🏼♀️Im just guessing

Disclaimer: there’s nothing wrong w wearing makeup I LOVE makeup and I literally wear it daily, that’s how I am able to recognize it. Denying that you have it on though is like a strange thing to do is all.
