It’s like the rule of no elbows on the table. Nobody really knows why it’s considered disrespectful so they just go with it. Doesn’t make sense just cause “that’s how it’s always been”

Teacher here. We got rid of that ancient rule. So long as there isn’t anything appropriate on it, hats are allowed.

As a teacher I don’t care. Especially because some kids have insecurities and that hat might be what’s helping them have the confidence to participate.

It’s a safety thing for a school. Older generations (especially if they are ex military) you were trained to take the hat off. It’s a form of respect.

Why do you need to wear a hat inside? There are exceptions, we had a kid in our school with alopecia so he was allowed to where a hat, but why would you need to otherwise?
