Respectfully, I disagree. While yes, your points do make sense and I acknowledge that. But I feel like the Easter Toons are a bit more than just “Easter” specific toons in a way. Easter isn’t as popular of a holiday like Christmas or Halloween (Which are both canon holiday events in Dandy’s World). Not many people even do much for Easter compared to Christmas or Halloween as well. So with Easter, it’s more just associated with the seasonal time of Spring. These Easter toons come in Gardenview during spring time, a time full of gentle warmth and the beginning of lovely sights of flowers. Who has an association with flowers and the gentle atmosphere of Spring season? Bassie of course. While she doesn’t accurately represent Easter, she represents the season of Spring. Onto your point about how Bassie being dependent makes her unfit to be a main, I also disagree with that. Just because every other main have independency, doesn’t exactly mean one main being dependent immediately makes them a bad choice to be a main toon. I feel like with her dynamic of being more dependent compared to other toons makes her a more interesting character compared to other mains. Not to mention she would show development with growth as she learns her independency, it would teach kids over time how they can learn their own independency as they grow older and become ready to take things on their own. If Cocoa was the main and doesn’t have that flaw in her character, then kids wouldn’t really just learn much from her other than just… Generosity? Which is a good trait for kids to learn, but it would’ve already been shown from some other toons like Sprout or Cosmo. Bassie can provide a unique growth for kids by teaching them independence, a concept that is unlikely to have been shown in the show from another toon.

Cocoa is way too plain and basic of a character to be a main. Bassie on the other hand has a unique design and abilities. She could teach kids how to overcome your fears and how to be more open for friendships, Cocoa doesn't offer that kind of stuff.

Ok so RESPECTFULLY, I would disagree with this opinion mainly because sure she is dependent BUT she has Unrivaled Determination and Perserverance which is highly Valued in many Toons. So I would say Bassie is not a perfect main BUT she earned this spot and she should be treated as such.
