Have done it … it’s awesome…we extended went from Seattle to Chicago… then Chicago back down to San Antonio… we got off in San Fran for a day… Seattle for 2… Chicago for 3… worth every penny

We are the laughingstock when it comes to first world rail commute. I lived in Japan Korea & Germany . If we had what they have here in America, your idea of riding the train would be a 180. Big seat, big windows very comfortable very safe. Fast and imagine going from Houston to Dallas in a hour. Or Savannah to Atlanta in an hour. Tampa to Miami two hours. On a train going more than 200 miles an hour.

70 hours trapped in a metal box sounds horrible but if anyone needs to park their car in Houston, I’ll let you park it at my house for $20 a day. AND I’ll give you a ride to and from the station station ($20 round trip)

I’ve always wanted to take a train ride. I don’t mind the 71 hours but I have so many questions. Does the train feed you? Do you sit in a train seat for 71 hours or are you in a small cabin like room? Are there showers on a train?
