@piaxov: 📍 Aya Takano’s How Deep and Far We Go Exhibit @ PERROTIN LA i have complex feelings about Aya Takano’s work (and I’m happy to go into it more in the comments) but it was such a lovely experience to see it in person 🎐 her use of colors and whimsy, along with the cosmic aspects of her art, was so striking to see in person. the aesthetics of her paintings and statues resonated deeply with me. if you’ve been following me or are a friend of mine, then you’ll know that this style is right up my alley! wanted to make a quick shoutout: the museum docents were wonderful. I had gone directly from work with my partner, and they let us store our big, bulky bags at the front desk 🥹 huge shout-out to them and the perrotin for their kindness <3 at the end of the exhibit, you could read some of aya takano’s manga or art books. there was also a big autograph book that guests could sign. maybe y’all will find the signature I left with Jake 💖 “how deep and far we go” is open until August 29. if you’re in town, visit the @Perrotin ASAP! #ayatakano #perrotin #artmuseum #losangeles #thingstodoinla
