they did amazing with how much stuff they had in the book but i do wish we got little more of Stilgar in movies since i feel like he was slightly done dirty in movies he's a great leader who cares about his people, he's strong and capable yet in movies especially second one it feels like they treat him just like crazy person who believes in prophecy too much and even some freman think he's silly even thou whole tragedy of his character is that he becomes this blind follower for Paul with Paul saying he saw his friend become a creature

Oscar Isaac’s Duke Leto is one of the best book to movie characters in this adaptation. Imo, he is close to perfect.

duke loved jessica but others only saw her as a Harkonnen. it’s why Thufir Hawat when captured assisted the Baron because he believed lady jessica was traitorous. this nuance and the political machinations are skipped over in the movie.

I listened to the Dune audio book earlier this year. Would absolutely recommend it this way. It could be a very dry book if I had read it, but listening to it as I did other things made it very enjoyable.

I'm pretty sure he was told not to marry her by the Old Duke, his father, for exactly those reasons. Dune is so wonderfully deep
