Shinee members talking about missing Jonghyun feels like healing. I feel like being able to talk about it must be so nice and it continues to allow them grow and to share his memory. It teaches others that it’s okay to miss someone and it’s okay to be sad about what happened. some shawols I know, don’t mention his name and I’m like why not? I think it’s important we continue to talk about him and let him continue to live in our hearts

Insanely enough, once on a TikTok about Jonghyun someone commented “I miss him” and was attacked by supposed shawols about Shinee not wanting people to say they miss him. I argued back but they really thought it wasnt okay to miss him and say it.

He was going through stages of grief and people did everything they could to make it seem like he wasn’t or invalid how he or the others were feeling during that time. They experienced a loss unlike anything they’ve ever felt before and trying to move on from it just wasn’t possible for them. I appreciate Kibum wanting to talk about it and help make that change surrounding the stigma of mental health. Jonghyun continues to deserve better but I’m glad more conversations surrounding him and his mental health are being talked about in a positive light and not so negatively.

It was really hard for us the fans, i cant imagine how they mustve felt throughout all these years. I’m glad, slowly they all are dealing with grief in a healthy way and don’t try to make jonghyun into a taboo topic within shinee and the fandom ❤️

No words can express how much I miss him...And I'm so glad SHINee healed in some way and decided to continue as group. It was the best way to say "We are still 5HINee and his presence its shown every time we are together" That gave me so much support and confort, to feel that I was not alone on my grief.

that speech was everything to me bc it felt like people were forgetting him. as a shawol since 2015.. it really hurt when no one was talking about him in a positive way and acknowledging his impact and presence.

I vividly remember the day news broke out about Jonghyuns passing. I was 14 and it was the morning of a school day. I was in shock, and the day just kinda passed by while I was in my own silent bubble. I know I’m only a fan but if felt like a piece of me died that day. I’m so happy the Shinee members are there for each other. Us shawols will do what we do best and keep supporting our boys.

I remember the day the public got the news on twitter early in the morning that year, it was a sad time the next few months years to see them as four themselves taking it in closely day by day the next album was released it was and still is beautiful, Shinee forever holds a special place in my heart IH MY GOD tears came out watching this made me remember their rose performance 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

Awww this is just so raw and honest - I can imagine lots of people didn’t want to mention him to the boys for fear of causing more upset - I’ve found that personally not mentioning the person who left is more hurtful as it seems like they’ve been forgotten, this isn’t the case but hearing a loved ones name and something about them brings comfort - I really wish someone could hug him and tell him grief really is horrific but it’s ok to have sad moments as well as something to make you smile about them -

when you lose someone close to you and people say "it gets easier" it does not! it gets harder as time goes on because you just really want to talk and hug that person more!

I cried when I saw KEY standing solo on the KCON stage. My heart was so happy to see so many Shawol’s and we cheered so loudly for him. Grief never goes away. I am relieved that he is able to speak about it & continue to express his love for Jonghyun publicly. This ep of Home alone made me sob. I’m so proud of him.
