Just a quick one.....AC increases fuel consumption en it does make the engine work harder, which in turn increases fuel usage. The AC system's most energy-intensive component is the compressor, which is powered by the engine via a belt. When the AC is on, the engine must use some of its power to turn the compressor, placing an additional load on it. To compensate for this extra effort and maintain the vehicle's performance, the engine injects more fuel. This process can reduce a car's fuel efficiency by 3% to 20%.... Essentially, using the AC converts engine power.....which comes from burning fuel.......into cooling, en indirectly increasing fuel consumption
