CPS is definitely not fun to deal with, I’ve had so many cases due to people just being ugly, and they’ve always been closed and obviously with nothing wrong, considering the boys have never been removed from me completely. 🫶🏻 I’m always a text away.

This happened to us, the exact thing you mentioned. Watch closely and be ready for more twists and turns x all said and done it was 3 months for us. It was the worst 3 months. They dig into everything and start to add things you need to confirm etc. just be careful and have awesome references

CPS holds onto shit forever even if the case is dismissed. I had them bring up MY case (ljke when I was a CHILD that was dismissed almost immediately ) when we had a case opened against us for our kids (which was also quickly dismissed)

Substantiated or unsubstantiated those records are always there. Keep all of the records from both cases and just because they close doesn’t mean they didn’t substantiate abuse or neglect it just means they came back with their findings and didn’t see a need to offer additional services or visits.

I’d like to hug you momma! I hope you have someone you can dependably lean on! I see how this haunts you. I had a baby aspirate, stop breathing, turn gray and I to was the most blessed mom to still have him with us! Prayers things calm down and you have peace in your life.

Cps down there is a joke. They don’t help the kids that need it the most. There can be over 20 reports made and they still don’t anything to help the kids. I told a case worker I’d only correspond through text messages for my records and she never replied or got back to me regarding my nieces and nephew. Hopefully your case gets closed soon!
