Feferi is the one troll in a caste that I feel like has no desirable means of actually breaking cycles. However, she would be the first one to break it, if she had the actual follow up for it. She is shown to have immeasurable, courage and strength to try to even as well keep her friends, even if it hurts them, but also have a distinct system within herself for her friends about her friends about the castes. What I love about her, is the absolution. She goes through to make sure she has everybody in a happy state of mind, even if they’re all in a cage themselves. She pushes through so much to do so little, and she ends up getting killed for it because she hadn’t gone through what she planned because of Condescene😭

I'd like to add on the fact that she probebly knew she had no chance against the empress if she came down to Krill her. like, the current empress has been the empress for THOUSANDS of years to the point we don't even know if there WAS another one before her. like fef knew YOUNG she was doomed to die. born to die. and all these friends she made, and all this work she put in to make them happy would mean NOTHING because they are all going to die young and probably miserable. but she tried to be a positive person anyway. this is why I will NEVER like Eridan, he took advantage of her kindness even if he didn't mean to. and he kept talking about killing off her only friends on the surface over and over. never taking in the fact she did not like the idea or want it to happen. he wants to kill all land dwellers? 90% of her friends ARE land dwellers. and he just...didn't care how she felt about it. ever.

FRIENDSIM MENTION and YES oh my god fef, at her core is so UNIQUE like. not only is she the only of her caste, but she completely defies the expectation of a fuschia and thats whats so interesting about her to me. there REALLY is no troll like feferi in her world

i like this take. you made me think and like her a bit more. not that i ever really disliked feferi, but i’ve always been kind of indifferent to her, a bit unsatisfied w her character i guess. i do wish feferi had gotten more development post death in the dream bubbles so i could have gotten to know her better. every time i read homestuck i can feel her missing and i always find myself wishing she’d gotten more dialogue and interactions

feferi also says at one point that she essentially only gets a mother figure after letting glbgol'yb die because once she gets prototyped she can have her first conversation with her, like it took the apocalypse for her to be able to breathe long enough and have a normal conversation (granted it couldnt speak before sprite prototyping it)

insane to me that about 60% of the reason why feferi gets no major role in the story is because Hussie found her typing quirk annoying to write out (hence why jade forced her to type normally in that one convo)

i think that it would be a cool concept if they just ditched the dancestor stuff and it was just feferi instead of meenah but like it would change the story alot but o think it would be cool cuz damcestors felt really rushed to me and we didnt get that much of anything from already existing characters
