I talked to my kids about that. I told them straight up, don’t go and get in the middle of the fight. Throw a chair, books, anything to get that kid to stop. I told them don’t record stuff like that. Even the teacher could have thrown something if they were unable to physically intervene.

To be honest i will NOT teach my kid to get in the middle of something like that for them to risk their own life I think not the right thing is to get an adult it’s not my kid’s job to put their life at risk the ones who recorded that was wrong definitely but don’t expect me to teach my kids to risk their life when it’s not their job

As a teacher and someone who went to Maryvale in the 90’s, I would never try to intervene. I saw the video and the kid was out of control and anyone who tried to intervene would have been seriously hurt or worse. My job as a teacher is to protect the rest of the class. It’s the same as if it was an intruder. It was by the door and no way out. It’s a horrible situation and I would never wish to be the teacher or student. How many contacted their parents or called 911 before recording? Unless you were there, you can’t be so judgemental. You’re focusing on the bystanders and not the two students involved.

Now the people who didn’t help will most likely have survivor guilt and honestly that’s what they get for not helping, i hate this new generation they have no respect and all they care about is popularity and social media its sad.

Just imagine how terrifying that would be to see and how scary it would be to try and intervene that situation as a child even as an adult that would be scary. Do you try and stop fights you see on the street or in the bars. You expecting children to do what exactly put themselves at risk of also being stabbed?

i graduated Maryvale in 2002 and the west or maryvale was not as bad as it has gotten smh. reason why i moved to the east side to raise my kids. Violence is everywhere but some areas are bad unfort. and i beleive stems alot from their surroundings, environment and home status.
