The therapy from my experience causes the violent behaviors. My son attacked his rbt and myself so I stopped therapy and he's a whole lot better now. When they reach puberty they just need social skills groups and some self help skills.

Yes! Also, a week or day off from therapy does so much for the kid and the therapist! They can walk back into therapy with a breathe of fresh air!

I have been up in the air about canceling my son's therapy at least one evening next week when his grandparents are visiting from out of state next week and he only gets to see them once or twice a year. You just reminded me it's okay for our kiddos to have a life outside of therapies and while their therapies are important, those special times are just as important ❤️

As a pediatric SLP I approve this x1000!!! Enjoy your time. Therapy will still be there. Breaks are important!!
