I think most parents forget that they CHOSE to be parents. Whether it was to satisfy their partner, save their marriage or take the next step in life. By choosing to become parents , you chose to make sacrifices to raise your child in order for them to grow into healthy adults. For most parents , keeping their child alive until adulthood is an accomplishment to them and they forget that parenthood is more than clothes on your back and a plate of food. They end up using the sacrifices they made as a tool to enable their lack of accountability. A way to justify why their so emotionally absent. The moment that child grows into an adult that can no longer be controlled, dictated or manipulated. They grow distant from their children rather than focusing on building a relationship 💯

My dad once forced me to apologize to my step mother because she had blocked me and started complaining that I wasn’t calling her. She literally blocked me and there’s no way I could call her. Structuring that apology was so had, there were like 5 adults in the room and they all agreed that I had to apologize to her 😂😂

I once posted myself passing by my bio dads city, this man asked me why didn’t I go and see him. That time the last time he came to see me was in 2007, and I still live in the same house he came to see me at in 2007. I told that I’d rather suck a pharas toes than go and pass by him
