pills seem to be keeping me at great levels, and i have a cripplingly serious deep needle phobia. there's no way im doing frequent shots especially self administered. just make sure yall r dissolving the pills under the tongue properly.

trying to get the air bubbles out gave me more anxiety then the shot itself, I don’t trust myself

Wait, what’s wrong with pills? My endo prefers the pills so I’ve only ever taken them and been fine. Is the shot “better” or just different?

IM estradiol generally provides better feminization than sublingual estradiol, because it maintains more consistent systemic estradiol exposure. Sublingual estradiol can be effective but usually requires multiple daily doses to achieve comparable results. Usually prescribed twice a day but ideally should be taken 3 to 4 times a day

I was on pills for like 16 months and switched to injections 6 months ago and the last 6 months make the first 16 months on pills feel like I wasn’t on HRT at all. It’s wild

I just recently switch to the shot and I’m SOOO stoked! But also idk if I can just look up a tutorial on YT or if I have to wait until a medical person goes through it with me

I don’t have insurance. 🥺 My spironolactone, progesterone & estradiol (in tablets) are $156 out of pocket. The injection form of estradiol is $190 on its own. 😭

i stopped doing injections because i have a genuine phobia of needles, and after hitting a vein i could not get myself to do another injection. i would rather willingly not have estrogen for months than be stuck with a needle every week

Does it have to be intramuscular, or are there subcutaneous injections? I genuinely don't think I can shove a needle all the way into my muscle
