@trysoberpath: A powerful insight from Dr. Gabor Maté 🧠 The language you use with yourself shapes who you become. Stop identifying as ‘a drinker’ or ‘an addict’ — that’s not who you are. 💡 You are so much more. #quitdrinking #sobrietyjourney #alcoholawareness #mindsetshift
Alcoholics really don’t mean to worry or hurt family

Yeah, I always say, “I used to have a problem with alcohol.” Because I no longer drink and have been working on myself for a long time. Believe it or not AA actually made me want to drink. Talking about alcohol constantly made me crave it. I quit AA and just started focusing on healing my trauma (which is why I was drinking in the first place). I feel theres also a little bit of shame with AA as well. I watched people relapse and come back but get looked down upon for relapsing. I’m like, “hello? This could be any of us at anytime. Why are we making them feel bad?” No hate for the people AA works for though!

I think you're confused about the "alcoholic" definition. It means that a person cannot control drinking (eg. amount and time).
I don't drink alcohol for a year now I'm still an alcoholic because I can't control my drinking.

I‘m twisted, I‘m an alcoholic & I‘m trying really hard to be the best version of myself! But if I don‘t drink, my brain goes overload. When I drink, I don‘t get mean or agressive, I just have to hide it🤷🏻😥

Okay, question?? yes I've been left in the mountains at 6 months old by my mother who was embarrassed by my albino, was told I will have eye problems and white hair/ pink skin. her mother found me while herding sheep. I was there for 3 days animals eating at me. my mom had a preference of how her children look like because she beautiful 😍. and then being raised by your grandmother and being SA by her husband and his boys, STEP!
