Then add it to a bowl with: -1.5 tablespoons of soy sauce -2 tablespoons of Shaoxing wine (or dry sherry if you can’t find it) -1 teaspoon of baking soda -1 tablespoon of neutral oil -pepper to taste Mix this all together and let it marinate for about 30 minutes. Right before cooking, add in 5 tablespoons of cornstarch and evenly coat the meat with it. Then fry it all up in batches in neutral oil heated to 350 degrees, and set the meat aside. For the sauce, in a bowl add: -1 cup of light brown sugar -1 cup of water -1/2 cup of regular soy sauce -1.5 tablespoons of dark soy sauce -2 tablespoons of Shaoxing wine Then add 2 tablespoons of neutral oil to a pan on medium heat along with: -2 tablespoons of minced ginger -2 tablespoons of minced garlic -sliced fresh chilis and red pepper flakes (if you want it spicy) -your sauce mixture -some MSG (if you want it to taste extra delicious) Let the sauce reduce by half, then add in your beef and let it simmer for a few minutes or until the sauce thickens. Right before serving, fold in one heaping cup of sliced green onions. Enjoy💜

I made this and it was a bit to much sugar (as someone who likes a sweeter Mongolian beef). I think 1/2-2/3 cup would be better. Also added a bit of oyster sauce and Maggis. Other than that really great recipe!!
