That is lot of work to just make a miter joint. You could use dowels and glue and that would be a lot less labor intensive.

I love your persistence and due diligence, but you could’ve just used a tight joint connector it has a ball and socket on one side and a fix sleeve on the other….the exact same principal drill two holes router out a space in between and just titan , but I love your ingenuity
