when my dad got remarried a few years ago, he didn't include myself or my sister in the wedding. his new wife's kids and even my dad's softball team (random) all had a part in the wedding, walked down the isle and got to stand up by the alter with them. that day really showed where my dad's priorities were and it still really hurts to think about...I really distanced myself after that to protect myself. it's really hard to accept my dad's "new family" into my life and he has no idea why.

yes! and even though it hurts, it doesn't mean it's personal. People sometimes don't consider others because everyone is so wrapped up in their own journeys and challenges (which is okay).

U are spot on and absolutely right with your comments.I always wonder why I receive frosty and unwelcome signs and usually get the cold shoulder from relatives for whom I would generally go out of my way,to help them out!Now I get the picture,and can see clearer!Life really hurts when u are struggling on your own!
