Wouldn’t you like to know :
I found out that washing anything with zippers causes holes. That’s why you zip them up beforehand or keep them separate.

Happened to me because I was accidentally catching them on the waist clasp when I was putting on my hiking backpack. I ruined a couple of shirts that way.
