I’m appalled by the number of people who are saying “just teach him to tie his shoes”. As a parent of a special needs child, I think these are a great idea. Some kids, and adults, don’t have the fine motor control to tie their shoes. For some people, just getting the shoe on the right foot is an accomplishment to be proud of. God forbid that you ever have a family member who needs help with something that you think everyone should be able to do.

Cool idea! Especially for my son who is autistic but he needs to learn to tie his shoes. He’s finally been attempting to tie them so I’m doing something right!

You’re not gonna teach your child how to tie his shoe you’re gonna give him the easy way out so he never know how to tie his shoe as a grown man. He still ain’t gonna know how to tie his shoe because his mom didn’t teach him.

A girl in the second grade taught me how to tie my shoes after getting frustrated of me asking. I never forgot to tie my shoes since then. 😅
