Linux will let you brutally kill it for no reason while Windows you have to lobotomize just to make it usable by removing Edge, Defender, Copilot, Recall, etc to put your own stuff there that you actually want and use

I use Revo Uninstaller Pro to remove Microsoft Edge and it does it without any problems.

in some distros you also need --no-preserve-root. Windows unistall explorer: ur desktop black after restart. Linux: heres your desktop but you only can manage ur files through terminal now

Putting this for everyone who might be confused about deleting edge or smth: you can't do it due to it being shipped as the default web rendering engine and a lot of programs (settings app, widgets etc.) are dependent on it

It's possible to use an Unattend.XML to make Windows install without Edge. It does break a few things, since some programs and features rely on edgeview to function, but if you know what you're doing you can get around it.
