I could talk about this for YEARS! The way Sherlock became William’s hope and made him want to live. How Sherlock did EVERYTHING he could to protect William. He picked out an apartment that would work for William and would make sure the cupboards were filled with food for him. How he visted him even though he knew William might not wake up. And the secene were he finds William on the roof will never not give me chills. How he realised William was up there and ran to check he wasn't hurt/hadn't done something he'd regret. And then Sherlock's face went soft when he realised William was, and would be, okay.
