As a lifelong New Hampshirite I don’t care if NH is the first in the nation primary but I’m VERY opposed to just “giving” the first primary to whatever state is “most loyal”. Either let states independently choose their primary dates, have it be rotating, or all on the same day.

I disagree with the claim that New Hampshire is a rural state. Majority of people live on the border with Massachusetts ( about 3/4 people in only 1/4 of the area)

NH is a bit too libertarian for my taste but, it is a good state to start building a consensus on who ‘normal’ people would like. I think the DNC made the right move with bumping Iowa from the first stop but, I think NH would be better as the first then SC second and NV as the third.
