Ok, good news. They are not there for eternity, demon slayer hell is from what I understand, Buddhist hell. In demon slayer's version of Buddhist hell, people serve a certain amount of time in hell correspondent to the bad karma they built up in their life until they're reincarnated. So, they wont be in hell forever.
