Though I've finally excepted you're both in heaven now I'm still working on the pain and anger I feel that you're gone. For daddy I can't yet unsee the moment you left right beside me and there was NOTHING I could do to stop it. The guilt I carried not having the ability to change any of the process or outcome. I don't carry that guilt anymore as we both know I tried in so many situations to save you but it wasn't in my control. I get some relief in my heart that you see everything from heaven. Gary if I could have one more hug and the ability to say not goodbye but until I see you again, It just might not hurt as much as it does. I know your still beside me and always will be. I just selfishly need you here. You gave your entire adult life to serve EVERY life you touched. Not just by being a Marine and then law enforcement. but by extending yourself to ANYONE that reached out for your help rather they deserved it or not. And yes I had zero problems letting you know who I thought was not. Im so blessed that God made you my best friend and strongest male figure to Faith. We both are better humans today because we got to call you ours. I love you both so much. I would say keep listening from heaven but you kinda dont have a choice because I still yell at you both as if you're still here. Thank you for choosing me. I will continue to ALWAYS choose you.
