@renew_media: Northumbria Helicopters has confirmed that four people were on board for a “flying lesson” when it crashed on the Isle of Wight this morning. One person was airlifted to hospital after the crash, which happened in Ventnor, in the southern part of the Island. Emergency services were called to the site near the A3020 Shanklin Road on Monday around 9am. Leigh Goldsmith, a witness on the scene, told Isle of Wight County Press that she saw the helicopter coming down, “spiralling.” The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) has launched an investigation into the incident. #isleofwight #isleofwighthelicoptercrash #helicoptercrash
