Henry cavil or however u spell it was a superman made for adults, it was to show that even superman can be evil when pushed to his limit. Just because he wasn’t a “symbol of hope” doesn’t make him a bad superman. He is just a version of superman that could happen, and both man of steel and the new superman are great. Just portrayed in different ways.
