I wish there was a prequel show where there was multiple servers and each server was its own world and the digidestined can jump between each server by going to the human world and they'd have to save their Digimon to floppy disks to transfer to a different server and each server gave them additional data to unlock new evolutions and they eventually became too large in data and couldn't transfer from one server to the another. then eventually as technology improved so did the storage space and then they could reunite.

the mon in the names is the file extension like in .exe so palmon is pal.mon or patamon being pata.mon

Nice. I have a theory on why random Digimon turn into women. Digimon store data from the Internet, and there happens to be many many pictures of women online, so it manifests into some Digimon taking on a female form
