As someone who works in hospital billing you are 100% correct. Hospitals actually have very low profit margins - what someone can’t pay for gets passed on to the collective - insured people and those who can pay.

and most of our premiums go to esuite salaries anyways. even when you factor in this point it’s such a small part of it while they steal from us constantly. universal healthcare is cheaper

This is why hospitals shut down in small towns!! Universal health care would help EVERYONE and would provide us with STABLE care that is in PROXIMITY to us in case of EMERGENCIES
