I’ve been on the phone with a man I had just started dating. I mentioned I was hungry and that I didn’t feel like cooking so I wanna gonna go to sleep hungry. He offered to get me something to eat. Mind you, it was like 2am and he just got off from a 12hr shift at work. He said he didn’t care. He got up drove 30 min to IHOP ordered my food, waited on it and drove it to me. Then drove 30 min back home. Because I said it was hungry. My standards been high ever since.

Period!!! Exactly why us women should never settle. My bf at the time, now husband lived 3 hrs from me. He would spend some weekends with me and leave 1:30-2am on Mondays to get back to work by like 5-6a. My dad got diagnosed with cancer & I called him in tears. By time I got off of work and to my parents house … he was ringing that bell. He didn’t want me to be alone that night. He took off that week to spend with me, took me to and from work, had dinner ready when I got home … mind you I work a hr away from home. That’s when I really knew that was my person. I just love that man so much🥰
