details not included in the video are listed below!! 👇🏼 this is the only video I’ll have on this incredible experience! #CorosPartner ✨General information✨ - You are required by law to use a guided service - Book a company that is backed by the KPAP (see previous photo carousel for more info) - I was with Gladys Adventure via Women Who Explore - You carry up a daypack and the rest of the gear is carried by porters - You also have health checks every evening and morning - Cost + my packing list?? (check previous photo carousel) ✨The Coros Nomad Watch✨ I haven’t had a GPS watch in over a decade, but my friends RAVED about the @COROS watch so much that I was finally convinced. First off, the battery life is INCREDIBLE. You can get up to 50 hours in All-Systems GPS mode and up to 22 days in standard use. I only charged the watch once (I would’ve been fine without it) and it charged nearly 30% in minutes. I downloaded the weather for the mountain onto the watch ahead of time, so I could check that as needed. With the Coros system, you can download your route ahead of time as well, add in nutrition alerts, and set up safety tracking to allow loved ones to see where you are. Coros has a variety of watches to choose from, all with their incredible technology and designs. I’m stoked to keep using their products to see how I can improve my training over time!! My code is KAYLI gets you a free band with any watch purchase! You can use the link found in my bio or at https://dada.link/oMJ5Qt ✨How I stayed warm✨ SO. MANY. LAYERS. When you hike this mountain, you’ll likely be quite warm most of the way up, and then freezing at the top. It was estimated to be around -20 at the summit (not including windchill??). I hiked in one outfit everyday: sun hoodie, pants, sports bra, wool socks and trail runners. For camp, I just wore my extra layers. The top layers included: wool long sleeve, micro grid fleece, synthetic mid-layer, down jacket and shell. The bottom layers included: wool leggings, hiking pants, puffy pants, shell pants. #explorewithCOROS #COROS #mountkilimanjaro #womenwhoexplore
