Something I’d add is that your “original” trauma doesn’t have to be SA related to have this happen. Makes it more likely, sure, but like you said, any type of relationship can occur between alters and it’s not always related to the trauma (or at least not in a way one would think)

We had an alter that just had a nice mask and all, then stuff happened (won't go in detail, since I don't wanna share the alter's trauma from my behalf without their consent), but it was so sad to see happen. :(

we got sa'd by one of our parts. to be fair, he was incredibly traumatized, confused, and out of his mind with being fully formed and finally free (he had been stuck in the "Room". And I rather it had happened to me than any other part and was able to handle it and help him out of his panick/rage/animaliatic/regressed state. He's now our best protector (if a bit paranoid)

I've never seen any other systems that have this happened or even THOUGHT about it, it's sickening to know we aren't the only ones but ok in a sense that a part(alter) isn't alone in going through that

This is something we've dealt with internally. The main reason for the reenactment is due to the malignancy of our trauma and how it was made both familiar and "safer" to us as well as parts doing it to destabilize the system and impede recovery. Some parts know what they're doing, and some don't. It's really hard to navigate. Thank you for speaking on this. ❤️
