I applied for the valley can program, it took about 6 months or so. I traded in my 2002 rav4 and got $11,500 towards a 2017 plugin hybrid ford fusion titanium + a $4000 grant from pgne

I applied for the Valley CAN program, it provides Californians w/ an incentive to drive more energy efficient vehicles. I went from driving an ‘03 Honda Accord to the program giving me an $11,500 down payment on a plug in hybrid 2020 or newer. I drive a 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe now, endlessly grateful!

I did the CA Clean Cars 4 All in Sac. I traded in my 2008 Mazda 3 and got $10K towards my 2023 Nissan Ariya (it’s so pretty!). After buying it, the dealership gave me $1,300 too. And I got $2K in charging credits. Claimed it on my taxes too.

Lmao this is my literal job. This is state money from like DMV registration fees and stuff. I love CA and working in non profit we get to see EVERYTHING. Follow your local community based organizations. They fully have access and info!

I applied to DCAP and got the $7000 grant (4 months later), I got my car and now I’m just waiting for the $2000 charge card (I opted for that instead of the home charger help) and the card last 3 years. I also applied to the SoCal Edison (electric company) rebate and I’m waiting to get approved to get the $4000 check! And I stacked it with the $4000 federal ev tax credit.

the driving clean program stopped taking applications after 8/22 because of cuts to program funding 😭 just barely missed it

I love this series! CA has a thriving economy because we reinvest our taxes in our communities. My sister lived in Idaho briefly in the lack of resources that they have for their residence is really mind blowing. Open until very recently I didn’t realize other states don’t offer free preschool. Which is crazy.

I was hoping you’d mention the Valley Can programs, The Valley Air District works with them for all the Drive Clean programs! Also, not car related but I know the Air District (specifically for San Joaquin Valley and surrounding counties) has a bunch of other incentive programs like electric lawn equipment rebates and free air purifiers!
