This is such a refreshing take. I’ve taken a few months off and have just been focusing on my job at the pure barre I work at & trying to see my family more. It’s been mentally so so hard to accept that it’s ok that I took that time for myself this year, but I know it was SO necessary. & hearing it from you who you’re so so talented & I look up to your content & talent, it’s so nice to hear this & know I’m not a failure for taking a step back. Hope that makes sense 😂💗

The pain when we make something our identity and all we get faced with is rejection is brutal. I never had any sort of success in the theatre world and it was all that I wanted. When I finally decided to give it up I grieved but I also started to heal and got a lot of clarity. I still love theatre but I’m for the most part ok with loving it from a distance.
