I had this with one of those sticker security tags on the bottom of a bottle of suncream, for months I couldn’t understand why the alarms kept going off 😂

Question is your handbag new, as they often have security tags hidden in the seams. I work retail and this happens so much so I used to wave their handbag over the detagger for them x

I had a handbag years ago that used to set off alarms at our local Tesco express. after a while they wouldjust wave me off🤣. it took me ages to work out what it was, then one day I found a chip tag under the lining!

I had a bag once that kept setting off alarms going into shops, I checked that bag constantly but could find anything until it happen in a shop in Scotland and I told the shop assistant in there I was going throw it out because it just kept happening so he asked if he could have a look so I let him,we emptied out the bag and it was still going off so he checked all the lining, turned it inside out and in the zipped pocket on the inside there was a tiny little pocket that I didn't know was in there and it had a security tag in that tiny pocket I was gobsmacked! for over a year I'd been setting off alarms and had no idea it was there!

the boots security tag is cancelled once its been rung up so its not the boots one ...any of the ones that are stickers are cancelled in the till ..... xxx

Asda near me beeps almost every time for everyone 😭😭😂😂😂 it would be so easy to steal from there cause it’s so normal nothing gets checked! Years ago when I was a teen it NEVER beeped even when people stole stuff, make it make sense 😭

old tags can reactivate. Too many cards all together can set it off plus anything magnetic

Know how you feel, happens to me after few times at different stores I then was in Asda I said think it’s my bag they tired it and alarm went off they reckon could have been my bank card. I actually waited outside a few shops whilst my daughter went in as was so nervous it would go off, took all labels out of bag too so now don’t use that bag 🙁
