Clearly you make a very nice vise. If it’s 4x as expensive, it should be 4x as good. I use a vise that was built 90 years ago and still works great.

The difference is you can use a scaffolding tube with the British one, your one the bearings would shatter or the thread go. Course thread is only good for a wood vice. The one you broke is a far inferior model to the British one…possibly Chinese.

Dude you have this down freakin pat, I’ve saved up multiple times for your vise and had to spend it elsewhere. I will own one!!! Also fun fact about thrust bearings and capacity. Every crane rolling block I’ve ever built with a rotating hook has a timken thrust bearings that allows that action!!! Very strong design, I’m curious how well grease stays in the horizontal position

considering the price of the Vise that they sell it needs to perform. and holy fuck I don't have one but I have to check it out some information about him there's some fucking heavy duty shit if I had an extra 1700 bucks kicking around I'd grab one but then what I use it that much I really don't use them that much but when you need one you can count on it's this one right here
