Maplestory Con 2025 Read here if you want to know full details of my day: Got there at 8:30am thinking I could pick up my badge at least & that there would be seperate lines for plat & general but nope everyone even people who got their badges day before all had to be in one line even though we were advertised that plat would get to go in & shop early at 9am. At 9am they told everyone that now they would split the lines but some people got to go in early if you bought the $20 valet parking for the event venue. Pay to play ftw I guess lol Didn't get in til 10:30/almost 11am after getting my badge & bag & went straight to the line for the gacha machine. Told my friends I'll stay in line for them to go explore the con cause I wanted them to at least enjoy themselves & they came back to tell me all the lines were unreasonably long & pretty much whatever line you were in that's all you're doing that day (because the con hours were pretty much 9am - 5pm for plat, 10am - 5pm for general) but all the lines were like 4-5 hours long pretty much.. Heard lots of people were still not allowed into the venue around 11am & may not be let in until 3pm or if people leave. Maybe not oversell tickets for a small venue & be more organized if you're going to offer a premium ticket & do as it was advertised?? Huh? 1pm I was still in line for gacha machine, my friends had been in the line for canvas tote & free patches at this point. 2pm my friend managed to get the gacha keychains & I was able to leave the line after being in line all day. So from 8:30am - 2pm I was waiting in lines LOL 2:30pm as we were leaving went to the homescreen photo op line since that didn't look too bad was done by 3:15pm & was like okay no point in doing anything else because the lines for everything else were too long to the point getting in the line would be pointless because by then the con will be over & waited for nothing. While in line I heard: merch store was a mess, lots off failed orders, app QR code system mess & understaffed. Most tablets & things used for event were broken most of the time & things that should've been double checked to run smoothly beforehand, but clearly wasn't.. Overall: this was my first time attending this con & will probably be my last. Seeing the characters filled my childhood nostalgia feeling but this event was not it. I talked to others who've attended years before & they said this con has not ever approved & has always been a mess.. so that's disheartening to hear honestly..
