My grandma went weekly to get her hair washed and put up all my life! When she got sick her hair dresser/ friend came to her house an did her hair! When she passed that woman was there doing her hair! That’s a special kinda thing most people don’t know about!! ❤️❤️❤️

My mama is a hairstylist and can remember growing up, her little old ladies would come every Friday for shampoo and set. And when they weren’t able to drive anymore, she would mark off her books and go to their homes! 💗

Cosmetologist here since 2018,went to school during 2017 I had a sweet Nona that got her hair done by me weekly since I was a student up until she died. I assisted the mortician and did her hair nails and makeup for her funeral it was part of her will. She left me $5k. 😔

My mema had the same little hair dresser my whole life everyone wore she would go get it washed and a roller set! When my mema got dementia she thought Miss Dianne charged her 300$ for her hair and she wouldn’t let miss Dianne touch her again. But when she passed away Miss Dianne was one of the first people at her house and did her hair for her one last time even tho it had been a couple years she understood and loved me mema anyways 😩❤️

This was my nanna ! Owned a beauty shop for 45 years did hair for 55 . She stayed open bc she had ladies who needed their weekly hair washes & their hair set for Sundays ! She said when they are gone I’ll retire

My grandma was a beautician all her life. Once she couldn't work at the shop anymore she started having them come to her house. She would do their hair & WIG once a week on Saturdays. I was a magazine and coffee gopher for her clients in the shop and home. Was paid $1.00 by my grandma and sometimes the ladies would tip me. I would use the money for a soda out the machine! Gosh I miss her! 🥰

There is something about sitting in a home salon with your gran and her hairstylist who will trim your hair while her perm cooks. 🥰🥰🥰🥰

My grandmother had a hair stylist that did her perms, as my my grandmother got older we had friends come over to do it, it wasn’t like her original stylist, when my grandmother passed she did her hair and it was amazing. Bless this lady for staying open
