Trotro is not Ga word it's as a result of an old Ghana current call tro which is what was mostly charged when you board that bus as a result the bus came to be known as trotro

Tro tro. Got it name which originate from The Akans, it was a form of currency denomination. These mini buses used to take tro as a fee. So basically they named it by what they charge. Correct me if I’m wrong
