Absolute facts. I work in “traditional” media but do a lot online and was shocked getting torn apart by asking about the taxpayer cost of a special election in California. Was called Fox News lmao people have forgotten how journalism is supposed to function. Not here to be an echo chamber and prop up politicians’ talking points

Walter Kronkite admitted that he was progressive and liberal, but kept his views to himself and reported the national news for that day and let the American viewers make up their own minds on what they think. Never about his views.

I heard one of those ex CIA guys on TikTok or on YouTube brother say that one tricked to years to try to get information out of people is to make them comfortable with you so you start dressing like them and their mannerisms and we’re in the same outfits talk about the same cottage music and next thing you know there seemed themselves reflect back atthem, not realizing that you’re doing a purpose so you’re right people just want what they already think said back to them are presented back to them whether they realize it or not it’s very effective

Not true. Generations that grew up with non-partisan news are still alive and we remember. They didn’t tell us what to think like newscasters do now. They had no agenda, except to tell us what was going on.

I don’t mind opinion pieces, but all I want is a simple factual statement “ this happened” followed by a “the factual implications” these are not influenced by opinion, they may be nuanced and the the implications may be multi faceted, but that’s when I get to think for myself.
