They joke about abusive households, but they never have to experience the fear of making a mistake in your household, never experiencing the force obedience, and submission. NEVER. I felt fear in the very place I was supposed to call it a "home" and I have to turn away from my little brother being beaten up because I was too weak to do anything, too scared to interfere. I was manipulated for years, YEARS and I never realized it. I was constantly GUILT-TRIPPED to the point I always feel guilty for every little thing I did.

Jesus ain’t gonna do none shit. Don’t rely on others, that’s what my mom told me. I’m not trying to dis religions but the amount of people saying “turn to god” is sickening. I know some people who have turned, but committed anyways because they can’t handle it anymore. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. “It’s all a part of gods plan” yeah, mental abuse and trauma won’t just fade away once “the plan” is complete.
