I switched to Mac almost 20 years ago. Don’t really remember why. But I remember how confused I was at first, like I didn’t even know how to install something. You just gotta look things up when you’re confused. Now I use Mac at work, gaming PC at home, I have no issue switching between them. You can do it! It’s fine!

I've had to use one every day for work for six years and I hate it every day. My condolences. Everything is just so BACKWARDS

You’ll catch on quick. I felt the same way many years ago when I started college for UI/UX design and all the classes were on macs. I’ve used osx (now macos) exclusively ever since.

I switched from Windows to Mac this past spring, and it did take some getting used to. Look up a tutorial or two and start customizing it. Once you get into it, you’ll see they’re really not that different.

Tip: Everything that you're used to doing with the control key now happens with the command key.
Ctrl-C to cut is now CMD-C on Mac, and that holds true across all sorts of functions

I switch between Ubuntu Desktop, ChromeOS, MacOS, and Windows every day. It can be confusing at times but you get used to it. Every computer and operating system these days is mostly just a way to get to a web browser (Chrome mostly) where you do 80% of everything anyway. Turn on any computer, open Chrome, maximize the window, and every computer is the same from there.

Windows 7 will always be the best operating system ever designed. It just needs the tabbed file browser and would be perfect.

I’ve been in the computer industry for 30 yrs. I’ve used a Mac at home for the last 15. I hate having to do any real work on the MacBook. They are just for media consumption.

been using Windows and Linux since the 90s. MacOS just doesn't make any sense. not even copy paste is consistent across apps

I can say as someone who grew up with Mac, switched to PC in early adulthood, I can NOT go back. they just kept arbitrarily changing things and making it worse over time

I had exclusively used PC until I got to high school and then the high school was all Macintosh and then it switched over to iMacs (Yes I know I'm showing my age with that) and trying to learn the Apple operating system was an extremely hard learning curve and I refuse to ever do so again
