If the motorway is designed and given space for 3 lanes in either direction, why wouldn’t they just paint on 3 lanes on either side to start with? Must QLD do things the inconvenient way every-time?

Will this stop people NOT KNOWING HOW TO MERGE? every bottleneck on the m1 is people not knowing how to merge onto a highway.
