As someone from nj I will acknowledge that almost everyone I know has or wants to move to one of the Carolinas 😂 must be kind of frustrating as a local finding all of the same people moving to one area and making everything more expensive due to its popularity

I think it’s okay to be sensitive to what people are going through when you move to a new place. On both sides. But yes we think it’s annoying because many northerners move south and then complain the whole time.

I’m from Miami born and raised and live in Brooklyn now. A LOT of ppl from NYC moved to Miami during the pandemic bc of the lax rules and gentrified the city. Brickell was the “Williamsburg” back in the day and looked nothing like it does now

If this is FL he’s genuinely not wrong we already going under water bc there’s literally too many ppl here🤣😂🤣, alot of ppl up north do come here and it’s actually ruining FL especially Miami fr. Also everyone who moves here always complain abt FL.

That’s not the issue. The issue is certain parts of the country are being inundated with people coming to live in their part of the country because it’s attractive. Of course people live in all different areas, but some of the places are having a huge transfer of people. One of the other reasons it’s problematic is if those people move there and all of a sudden wanna change the place they have moved to and when they’re a large volume of people, it becomes problematic. What made that place charming all of a sudden is not charming.If you move to a place where people aren’t frequently moving to no one would care.

born & raised in NC and can confirm the hate against northeners is perpetuated wellll into childhood. i still remember being in elementary school and hearing my teachers and other adults make comments about yankees moving to my town and ruining it LOL (anyway i live in boston now)
