I totally disagree with this take. HR is there to serve everyone in the company, both management and employees, so yes they are risk managers but one’s that are necessary to ensure everyone is happy!

I dont know which hr hurt you, but as long as I have been a HR, I try to balance both employer and employees needs. God knows how many times I try to voice out employee needs and had argument with employers.

This hurts my heart. I work so hard every day to make my employees feel valued, and empowered to do their jobs. I believe that the HR’s function is to protect the company when it comes to the rules in the handbook. Anything outside of that I’m here to support our employees to the best of my abilities! As someone working in HR for 14 years, here’s my POV: HR today goes beyond just protecting the company. We are strategic partners who value both people and the business. Our role is to listen, empathize, and work toward solutions, though not every concern can be resolved immediately. And while HR may not be a ‘friend’ in the personal sense, our responsibility is to support employees and create a workplace where people and the organization can thrive together. 😊😊😊

No, I disagree. There many good HR out there and you end up and dislike HR because either you do something bad, or you the solution they provide to you not in your favour. They balancing the needs both side. Not easy job. Sit in their chair first and experience how balancing the need of everybody. HR is not everyone cup of tea and that's ok.
