@sheisimanib: Replying to @Amandarichardson291 Americans are too privileged and think too highly of themselves to fight back. All eyes on Indonesia! #indonesia #bali #jakarta #affankurniawan #americans
US citizens are well propagandized by the Rich about who is responsible for our living conditions. Republicans believe it’s immigrants and Dem voters fault. Dems believe it’s Republican voters fault and the DNC will save them while ignoring their complicity. Most leftist are in the street or helping other ways but they don’t have the numbers. We aren’t building class consciousness fast enough.

I love this women she understands everything I think!!! We have so much power yet we let a few people disrespect us!!!!!!! This is a 300m+ vs greedy people. Money cannot stop us because we will burn it and throw it at them. We are so capable of scaring them but we choose not to! It makes me so mad because we can so easily take them down but we are just too scared

and it’s what i been saying!! like i never mean to offend but i’ve lived in the “global south” for the majority of my life, and seeing US going down and people whining about doing basic things like canceling amazon, Spotify or not shopping in specific places was always insane to me. and when i said americans are comfortable with being comfortably uncomfortable and will remain complacent as long as they get those false promises and consumerist treats, i got told i don’t understand that in america people struggle too.

It makes me absolutely insane because I get people are scared here but at what point does fear turn into cowardice because if people aren’t willing to die let alone fight for their freedom we ain’t never gon get it! wtf do we stand for if not for liberation and freedom from ALLLL oppressors at the cost of comfort and coddling

Here’s the thing we all need to be on the same page. The tik tok before you said we need to chill because they are looking for a reason for martial law. There needs to be a huge Discord or something.

All of this right here. American people like to claim that they are more civilized but how are you civilized with a government that’s not civilized with you.You keep waiting for the two party system to liberate you with their so called democratic institutions.SMH Indonesia citizens are more brave and daring than we ever will be.

I 100% agree with you, we’re addicted to comfort but I also think that when we analyze the uprising in Indonesia and we look at this through a comparative framework it makes sense when you see how repression is structured differently. The U.S. spends $135B just on police, nearly ten times what Indonesia spends on its entire MILITARY. U.S. protesters are essentially going up against a domestic counterinsurgency apparatus whose resources rival armies. At the same time, movements here are constrained by an obvious contradiction. That being, people oppose the state’s coercion, yet also benefit from imperial accumulation insofar as it sustains their relative stability. In Indonesia, that imperial cushion doesn’t exist in the same way, so antagonism with the state tends to be more immediate.

Girl I said this on a post...
No one is saying they need to be used but imagine the message that would have been sent if on "No Kings" Day all 13 million of you had of rocked up with them the message would have been HEARD LOUDER and probably listened too. You could have been strategic WITH THEM!
This is the type of responses I got....
They would have opened fire and claimed they feared for their lives. And then they'd investigate themselves and find they did nothing wrong...

A lot of Americans of all colors speak out against this. Their voices are just too quiet compared to the people that just complain or are for it

That’s a very misinformed take, considering that people in America are still being kidnapped by ICE as they protest, Black people in 2020 were tear gassed and pelted with rubber bullets, people were killed in riots and protests by police officers, so on and so forth. People are rallying in America. Either y’all don’t pay attention or you’re just like everyone else and think the protesters are thugs and criminals not worthy of coverage 🤷🏽♂️
