Wow that’s a rant 😅, I’m an accountant, I could claim PIP (I don’t currently) but I work full time, have been since August 2016, I could get £300 give or take on PIP, the money would just go into my portfolio

Other European counties have welfare linked to contribution. The UK has never done that. It’s based on need. It means that someone who has worked for 40 years, contributing to the exchequer, suddenly becomes temporarily unemployed, and gets zero because he has savings or assets. Someone who has been given the right to remain gets housing, and other benefits.
